People with heart disease have 25% less Q10 than healthy people. It is useful against coronary heart disease, which is known to lead to heart attack. According to a 1990 scientific article in the American Journal of Cardiology, "Coenzyme Q10 (Co Q10) is a useful substance for mitochondria (cell components) to perform its basic function while being essential for survival."
